Sandy Pena, Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Practitioner
Sandy graduated from the massage program at the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in 1994.
She enjoys working with people of all ages and from all walks of life. She works with each person to tailor the massage to fit the needs of that person, that day. Her intent and goal with each person is to release stress, reduce pain and increase mobility, allowing the person to leave with renewed energy and a better sense of overall well-being.
Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, senior massage, addiction recovery, hydrotherapy, chair massage, medical massage therapy and hot stones are some of the different body work modalities she has studied and can offer to you. While at the Desert Institute, she volunteered in a program that provided massage to people with AIDS and at the hospice unit at the Veterans Hospital.
Sandy is a third level Reiki Practitioner. Reiki is a form of energy work that encourages healing on all levels: the physical, the mental, the emotional and the spiritual.
Sandy would be hapy to answer questions you may have about her massage philosophy, massage work and Reiki.
